PROGRAMS

Early childhood education is our focus. We are bent on teaching the children to read and write as early as possible. This is to prepare  them to succeed in life. Bioh Memorial Children's village, unlike many orphanages, has decided to implement self sustainable programs to equip the Children to support themselves. The reason for choosing such a remote location, is to get close to where the help is needed. We believe that the poorest child in the city is better-off than the richest child in the rural area. Life skills will be the best way to get them out of poverty. Example of such, are as follows: In our tree plantation program, each child will have at least one hundred (100) trees planted in his or her name and Ten (10) trees at for every birth day they Celebrate, and will be responsible for it as soon as they are capable. We will be planting our own vegetables and fruits, baking for ourselves as well as selling to support the village financially.

We are asking well wishers to help by donating equipments and materials related to all this prpgrams, to the village,

1,  Education              2,  Farming (crops & animals )(xx)        3,  Tree Plantations  (xx)

4, Craftsmanship       5,   Vocational Training                     6, Music & Musical Instruments

7, Summer Camping & Steady Group                                  7, Mobile Clinic (xx)

Key (xx)= ongoing project

This is where we are asking you all to join hands and help. We will want your support to go direct to the Children of the Village,  Since this is a new institution, there is no limit as to what our needs is. After the first twenty (20) children, we are asking each additional child to be sponsored with a pledge for a year. Where you will have assess to each child by mail through the management. You can obtain Photos and other information of each sponsored Child.

The vast land acquired means that, you can sponsor a project for as little as Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00), of which you can build a cottage, retain and name it as you wish. A land designated for a Library is also currently available in Kumasi, please help put it up.

Our much needed projects are Libraries, Cottages, School blocks, Dormitory, Clinic, Volunteer quarters, Computer centers, latrines, Solar Systems, Sewer and Running water Systems. There are a lot of broken down Borehole Water Systems at Anyanso and surrounding Villages that can be restored  with pumps to reservoirs. The Rising cost of fuel also means they can not afford to run Generator for electricity Hence Our request for Solar System.

Mobile Clinic

This program is design to assist the children at B.M.C.V. and the surrounding village. In the near future and as funds becomes available, this service will be extended across the Nation.  The nearest hospital is 21 miles away, hence the need for the clinic. To maintain a healthy society is awareness. A team of volunteer health personal  will be gathered once in a while to spend few days to visit the villages to educate, screen and referred patient to the appropriate health authorities when there is a concern.

We will be focusing on Prevention, by providing Vaccinations, Tuberculosis, Mosquito nets against Malaria and many more. A van equipped with stretchers and a crash box has been donated for this program. (see Mission Page for Photos)  Your donation is also welcome.
